The trip in short

From Seattle down the whole Pacific coast to Los Angeles, at campgrounds by the sea. Olympic's Hurricane Ridge and Hoh Rain Forest first, then the mouth of the Columbia at Astoria and the lighthouses, sea lions and sea stacks of the Oregon coast. In California you camp under the redwoods of Prairie Creek, cross the Golden Gate Bridge at San Francisco and take two nights for Big Sur, under the Pfeiffer redwoods. The last night is on the beach at Santa Barbara. The longest of the camper trips; by car, part of it is California's Highway 1.
