Grand Canyon
A mile deep and 277 miles long. The South Rim is open all year; walk part of the Rim Trail at sunrise, or go down the South Kaibab Trail as far as Ooh Aah Point.
Tip: Sleep in or near the park: sunset at Hopi Point is the best, and the day visitors have gone.
