The trip in short
Pick up the Harley in Los Angeles and ride past the wind farms into the desert: Palm Springs, then Joshua Tree. At Kingman you join Route 66 in Arizona, and Seligman is the little town that kept it alive. Two nights at the Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and Lake Powell at Page, then the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway and its tunnel into Zion. You hand in the bike on the Las Vegas Strip. Never more than four hours a day in the saddle: the desert among the motorbike trips.
