The trip in short
Houston first, with the rockets of Space Center Houston. In San Antonio you stand before the Alamo and eat along the River Walk; Fredericksburg, founded by German settlers, is the heart of the Hill Country's wineries and peach orchards. Three nights in Austin, the live music capital, with a band on every corner of Sixth Street, and two on the beaches of Galveston to end. Texas is in the Southwest and this is one of the music trips; the blues and jazz next door are in Music of the Deep South.
