The trip in short
From Salt Lake City north to Jackson, at the foot of the jagged peaks of Grand Teton. Then into Yellowstone: two nights at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and its waterfalls, with bison in Hayden Valley, and two at the west entrance, near Old Faithful and the colours of Grand Prismatic Spring. Back south past Idaho Falls to the Great Salt Lake. Two of the oldest national parks in one trip; or sleep in the parks themselves, by camper to Yellowstone.
