Ride out of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge, then south along the Pacific. The 17-Mile Drive at Monterey, then two nights for Big Sur, where Bixby Bridge and the curves along the cliffs are best on two wheels. Hearst Castle and the elephant seals at San Simeon, the Santa Ynez wine country above Santa Barbara, and Malibu on the last day. Short rides and many stops: the easiest of the motorbike trips. By car it is California's Highway 1.
